  • Why Patients Choose Aleris for Laser Hair Removal

✓ Medical-grade technology designed for safe, consistent results

✓ Effective across a wide range of skin types and treatment areas

✓ Personalized treatment plans based on your hair growth cycle

✓ Comfortable, clinical setting with experienced providers

  • How It Works

During treatment, controlled pulses of light target the pigment in the hair and gently heat the follicle.

This reduces the follicle’s ability to regrow hair over time. With each session, hair becomes finer and less noticeable.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes — when the right laser is used. Our Candela GentleMax includes the Nd:YAG wavelength (1064 nm), which is the standard of care for Fitzpatrick IV, V, and VI skin. It bypasses surface melanin and targets the hair follicle directly, which is why it can be used safely on deep skin tones without burning, scarring, or causing dark spots. We don't use single-wavelength devices that aren't safe for your skin.

  • Alexandrite (755 nm) is highly effective on lighter skin tones — Fitzpatrick I, II, and III — because it's strongly attracted to melanin in the hair. Nd:YAG (1064 nm) is the safest wavelength for darker skin tones — Fitzpatrick IV, V, and VI — because it penetrates deeper and is less attracted to surface skin pigment. The Candela GentleMax Classic has both, which is why we can treat every skin type.

  • Most patients need 6 sessions for full reduction. Hair grows in cycles, and laser only treats hair in the active growth phase, so spacing matters: typically every 4–6 weeks for face, every 6–8 weeks for body. Some patients with hormonal hair growth (PCOS, peri-menopause) may benefit from maintenance sessions once or twice a year.

  • Most patients describe it as a quick snap of warmth. The GentleMax Classic has a built-in cryogen cooling spray that fires just before each pulse, which dramatically reduces discomfort compared to older lasers. We can also apply a topical numbing cream for sensitive areas if you'd like.

  • Laser targets pigment in the hair, so very light blonde, gray, white, and some red hair won't respond well to laser. We'll be honest with you in your consultation about whether laser is the right tool — and if not, we'll talk through alternatives.

  • We don't treat patients who are pregnant. Laser is safe to resume after delivery and breastfeeding.

  • No. You may have mild redness or warmth for a few hours after treatment. Avoid sun exposure, hot showers, and heavy workouts for 24 hours. You can return to work the same day.

  • We're in Woodinville, easy to reach from Bothell, Kirkland, Redmond, and Seattle's broader Eastside. Free parking. 17924 140th Ave NE, Suite 101.

What People Love About Us

  • I recently had a Moxi laser treatment done by Sue and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Sue was amazing — very knowledgeable, gentle, and she explained everything clearly so I knew exactly what to expect. She made the whole treatment very comfortable and easy.

Overall, it was one of the best experiences I’ve had at an aesthetic office. Friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. I’m very happy with my Moxi treatment and would definitely recommend Sue and this office to anyone considering laser treatments.

    — Sarah S

  • The space is so calming and everyone is incredibly welcoming. It was my first facial and I loved how they explained everything step-by-step, which helped me relax. They made sure I was comfortable the entire time and my skin looked amazing after. Highly recommend — especially with the heated beds!

    — Jasmine S

  • They really took the time to explain everything and made sure I felt good about the plan before starting. My Botox turned out super natural (which was exactly what I wanted), and the Moxi has already made my skin look brighter and smoother.

Nothing felt rushed or pushy, just a really easy, positive experience. Definitely recommend if you’re thinking about trying either!
